Our Patients

We take a holistic approach, meaning that we get to know our patients as a whole person rather than concentrating solely on their illness.

Patients are referred to us by GPs, Hospital Consultants, District Nurses and Macmillan Clinical Nurse Specialists.

Some people prefer to stay at home and keep their independence – our Hospice at Home team visit them to provide necessary support. We also provide individual and group treatments in our Day Therapy Clinics, where patients come to receive Physiotherapy, Complimentary Therapies, or take part in social sessions and Art Therapy. Others spend their last days or weeks here at St Wilfrid’s, having their symptoms controlled, such as pain, tiredness or sickness. They are comforted and cared for by their families and specialists.

We also give advice to patients and their families on finances, benefits, family support and much more.

WI-FI

Our patients and their visitors can browse the internet on their personal laptops or devices via our free wi-fi connection.
