Whilst you are within our care we will respect your wishes.  This includes your right to privacy and confidentiality.  Your information remains confidential to the Hospice even after you cease to be under our care, but may be shared with other professionals involved in your care.

If you are admitted to the In-patient Unit you will have the opportunity to tell us if there is anyone to whom your information should not be released.  Otherwise, when visitors enquire as to whether you are being cared for in the Hospice we will normally inform them that you have been admitted, but no further information will be provided.

Providing you give your consent, Hospice staff are happy to have discussions with your relatives and/or carers about your care.
