A difficult time was made easier by you all and we are so grateful. He had such a peaceful last few hours, just what he wanted... Patient's Relative
Skilled and compassionate care

We provide skilled and compassionate care and support for anyone over the age of 18 with an illness beyond the point of cure, such as cancer, neurological disease or organ failure.

Our care considers the physical, emotional, spiritual and social needs of the patient and their family. For example, we help treat symptoms such as pain or sickness, provide treatments such as physiotherapy, and offer bereavement counselling to patients and their families. We do this in patients' homes, nursing homes or here at the Hospice, whilst working in partnership with other healthcare professionals. We focus all of our care on improving the quality of life for patients during their illness and at the end of life.

Our services aspire to be as flexible as possible to ensure patient choice is met.

Patients are referred to us by GPs, Hospital Consultants, District Nurses and Macmillan Clinical Nurse Specialists.

If you think that you or someone close to you needs our services, please read on for further information, call us anytime on 01323 644500 or email hospice@stwhospice.org
