Sally's story

'My husband, Michael, was referred to the hospice as his Parkinson's Disease progressed. The nurses helped acquire equipment for us- Michael's bed and a hoist amongst other things. They also recently noticed a sore on his foot, which I hadn't spotted. They keep an eye on both of us, which is such a relief.'

Hospice at Home

Our Hospice at Home team provides expert nursing care in patients' own homes.

Our nurses work seven days a week, in partnership with Primary Care services, and provide medical visits if required.

The team can support you and your family by easing symptoms such as pain and sickness, helping to relieve any worries or fears, and keeping you comfortable and safe in your home environment. We also offer short-term respite and a night-sitting service.

'It's a pleasure to meet so many wonderful people.

'Working in the community, you gain a bigger picture of somebody's life: their home, their family, the things that matter to them. I am able to dedicate enough time to each patient to do a thorough job and offer people the care that they deserve.'
