Each year St Wilfrid’s Hospice skillfully and compassionately cares for over 1000 people with complex needs as they near the end of life. People are cared for in their own homes by hospice at home nurses, as out patients in day therapy clinics and as inpatients in the hospice itself. Our educational and collaborative work with others positively influences the care of those dying in hospitals, nursing and care homes.
Demand for hospice care is growing rapidly as the population ages. To meet growing demand we are building a new hospice which will double service capacity and position the charity to significantly extend its reach - making an impact on even more lives.
At this pivotal moment in our history we are seeking to strengthen the governance of the charity by recruiting three people who will add real value, serving as Trustees. We are looking for exceptional applicants with a proven record of significant achievement in financial, commercial or clinical commissioning roles. These very fulfilling roles are unremunerated and require an average time commitment of four hours a month.
To discuss the opportunity please contact the Chief Executive, Kara Bishop on 01323 644500 or contact Chris Piper, Executive Assistant for an information pack on 01323 637830 or email chris.piper@stwhospice.org
