Head of Social Psychological and Spiritual Care
EASTBOURNE – Change your view?
A major part of extending our reach in the community is to build a new hospice in a high profile location in Eastbourne. The new hospice facility will be a modern, built for purpose building set in a beautifully landscaped location with various garden spaces, plenty of parking and has space for further expansion if needed in the future. Work preparing the site started in mid 2011; construction is expected to finish by very early in 2013.
To enhance our team we are now recruiting a Head of Social, Psychological and Spiritual Care to develop psychosocial care with a strong emphasis on strategically driving our therapy led day unit and social work services and enhancing our spiritual and bereavement care. You will also be instrumental in evolving our strategy, and implementing initiatives within the local community to support our aspirations to create a compassionate community.
The salary will in the region of £46,000.
The successful candidate will have a degree in social work, current General Social Care Council registration combined with substantial experience. You will also have strong management and leadership skills.
We are offering 27 days annual leave, increasing with length of service, generous pension arrangements and subsidised meals.
