Director of Development - Major Gifts
Salary Circa £46,000
This is a dream job for a successful and experienced major donor professional, wishing perhaps to move out of London! You will be joining a thriving charity just starting a very high profile project building a new hospice in Eastbourne, East Sussex. You will be developing and implementing a strategy to deliver £1.2 million in financial support from high net worth individuals, trusts and foundations over two years and that will continue to deliver support long term. Your strategy will support the vision of Campaign Hospice Reach which is focused on engaging support for our ambition to transform end of life care for every person in our community.
You will need the energy and enthusiasm to lead and inspire. You must be a self starter capable of delivering within tight deadlines. You must have the communication, interpersonal and influencing skills that have resulted in you recruiting and retaining key donors who are actively engaged and involved in the work of charities you have worked for. You will need a genuine empathy for the work done by hospices. We are based in Eastbourne, the sunniest town in the UK.
In addition to a salary of circa £46,000 the successful applicant will be entitled to generous holiday and pension allowances. For an exceptional applicant we could be flexible.
