We are part of the foundation programme at East Sussex Hospitals Trust and have a new junior doctor every four months who builds on their own clinical skills and significantly contributes to patient care in the In-patient unit.  

We also offer a ‘taster week’ for doctors in training to come and observe the work at the Hospice.

Dr Andrew Jackson was on placement here August-December 2007:

“It’s been a fantastic placement. It’s provided a working environment which puts into action a patient-centered approach and the staff are so committed and caring. You can see before your eyes the positive impact this has on the patient, their relatives and their friends. I’ve been privileged to have had one-one case-based teaching from consultant level on almost a daily basis and to be surrounded by extremely experienced staff to learn from.”
