We were founded in 1982, and exist to support, empower and care for people at the end of life, to influence quality of end of life care in all settings, and to encourage our wider community to be concerned about death, dying and loss.

We serve a population of 235,000 people from Eastbourne and the surrounding areas. Every year, over 2,000 people in this area may need our support.

Last year, 316 people were admitted to our Inpatient Unit, 1124 people were supported by our Nurse Line, and 532 new people were supported at home. 324 people were supported by our Wellbeing team during this time.
