Run for us

Put your heart and sole into the miles that matter.

Whether choosing to support us as your local charity, or because we've looked after somebody special, your resolute running will touch real lives and help us to help others.

We can't do much about the weather, but we do promise to give you a boost on your 'what have I done?' days, offer advice on how to go the distance with your fundraising, and of course, make sure you get the loudest cheer en route! We'll also send all of our hospice heroes one of our bespoke running vests.

The Eastbourne Half Marathon - Sunday 6th March 2016

The Eastbourne Half Marathon attracts almost 2000 runners to our spectacular south coast. Stunning scenery, and live bands and entertainers will keep you motivated en route! This year, organisers are also introducing pacers to the race to help you achieve your target time.

We do not have charity places for this race, however our Fundraising team would love to hear from you if you're running in support of us. Once you're signed up, give us a call on 01323 434241 or email fundraising@stwhospice.org.

The Brighton Marathon - Sunday 9th April 2017

The Brighton Marathon is one of the UK's favourite 26.2 milers. You'll join thousands of others in undertaking the challenge of a lifetime against the stunning backdrop of the sea in one of the country's most vibrant cities.

Yes, there'll be days when you think you were absolutely mad to sign up, but once you've crossed that finish line, there'll be days (every day, in fact!), when you'll know you've done it. You've completed a marathon! General entries for this marathon are now closed, however we have some charity places available. One of them might just have your name on it. Apply now.

The Eastbourne Triathlon

Take on this iconic and memorable 600m sea swim, 25km cycle, taking in the stunning (but tough) Beachy Head climb, South Downs and the lovely promenade. Complete the challenge with a 5km(ish!) run up and down the St Bede's hill - made famous by the start and finish of the Beachy Head Marathon - before the glorious finish on Western Lawns, Eastbourne — we would love you to join us.

Registration price is currently £64 per entrant and we ask that runners for our hospice raise a minimum of £500 in sponsorship! St Wilfrid's Hospice has been chosen as the official charity partner of the Triathlon.
